A Zimbabwean woman has left many people astonished after opening up about her unusual marriage to two men, revealing how they share household responsibilities, manage sleeping arrangements and plan to raise children together.
The woman, whose story was featured in a documentary-style video published on the Hasta World YouTube channel, explained that she was the one who approached both men and proposed marriage to each of them.
Her account has sparked conversations about love, marriage and unconventional family arrangements, particularly in a community where the idea of one woman having two husbands remains unfamiliar to many.
How the woman found her first husband
According to the woman, her journey began when she met her first husband while he was working in the fields. She said she was impressed by his work ethic and determination, qualities that convinced her he was the man she wanted to marry.
Rather than waiting for him to approach her, she reportedly took the initiative and told him directly that she wanted to become his wife.
Her proposal initially caught him off guard because, according to her account, men traditionally take the lead in courtship in their community.
Despite his initial reluctance, the two eventually got married and began building their life together.
However, four years into their marriage, the woman decided to introduce another man into the family, explaining that her first husband was growing older and could no longer manage all the responsibilities and demands of their household.
