The neighbours reportedly contacted local neighbourhood chairwoman Russia Agustino Shirima and police officers from Mabwepande, prompting an urgent response from local officials and law enforcement officers.
Shirima said she rushed to the residence after receiving information about the incident. When she arrived, she found several residents gathered outside the house, anxiously trying to establish what had happened.
After speaking to the housemaid, Shirima reportedly learnt that Jennifer had allegedly been shot by her husband inside their bedroom.
Police officers and local officials were subsequently notified and arrived at the scene to assess the situation.

Later, Shirima reportedly received information suggesting that Raulent had gone to Kawe Police Station to surrender to the authorities.
However, she clarified that she had not personally witnessed the alleged surrender and could not independently confirm whether he had handed himself over to police.
