Utaoa lini? George Ruto responds to question

President William Ruto’s son, George Ruto, has found himself at the centre of an amusing social media conversation after Kenyans turned their attention to his love life following his sister Charlene Ruto’s recent wedding.

George, who has largely kept details of his romantic life away from the public spotlight, was playfully challenged by TikTok users to reveal when he intended to follow in his sister’s footsteps and walk down the aisle.

The light-hearted exchange unfolded on Saturday, November 7, 2026, after George shared a video capturing a relaxed moment with Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi ahead of Charlene’s wedding celebrations.

In the video, George and Sudi appeared smartly dressed in designer outfits as they enjoyed each other’s company while waiting for the much-anticipated celebrations to officially get underway.

Sudi looked elegant in a black suit, while George opted for a cream-coloured outfit that gave him a stylish appearance. The two appeared comfortable together, sharing a moment that George used to make a humorous observation about the kind of conversations he sometimes has with older people.

In his caption, George made a playful reference to spending time with elders and the difficult questions they sometimes throw at him, suggesting that laughter is often his easiest escape when he does not want to provide a direct answer.

However, what appeared to be an ordinary social media update quickly turned into an unexpected discussion about his marriage plans.

TikTokers Want to Know When George Will Get Married

With Charlene having recently exchanged marriage vows with her partner, Isaya Yunge, some social media users appeared to feel that George was now the next member of the presidential family whose wedding plans deserved attention.

One TikTok user identified as @elegance did not waste time getting straight to the point.

“Utaoa lini wewe kijana?” she asked, accompanied by laughing emojis.

Rather than ignoring the question, George first liked the comment before delivering a short but hilarious response that left the responsibility of finding an answer elsewhere.

“Pigia Uliam,” he replied, seemingly referring to his father, President William Ruto.

His cheeky response immediately added humour to the conversation, with George appearing to suggest that anyone interested in knowing when he would get married should direct the question to his father.

However, another TikTok user, @lusenchah, was equally determined to get an answer from the President’s son.

“Ni wewe tunangoja sasa,” the user commented, suggesting that after Charlene’s wedding, George was now the person everyone was waiting to see settle down.

Once again, George opted for humour rather than revealing whether he had any immediate plans to get married.

“Ng oja ngoja huumiza matumbo,” he responded, using the popular Swahili saying that translates to “waiting for too long causes stomach discomfort.”

Charlene’s Wedding Turns Attention to George

The playful exchange comes shortly after Charlene’s wedding to Isaya Yunge, an event that attracted considerable public attention because of her family’s political prominence.

President William Ruto and members of his family, including George and his brother Nick, were among those who participated in the wedding celebrations.

While Charlene’s special day marked a major milestone in her personal life, it appears to have unintentionally placed her younger brother under a different kind of public spotlight.

For George, however, the questions about marriage do not appear to be causing any immediate pressure, judging by his humorous responses.

Rather than announcing an engagement, introducing a prospective bride or giving a wedding date, he has left Kenyans with two memorable replies: one directing them to William and another reminding them that too much waiting can cause stomach discomfort.

Whether George has any wedding plans remains unknown, but one thing is certain: following Charlene’s glamorous wedding, curious Kenyans are already eager to know who will be next to walk down the aisle in the Ruto family.
