Preliminary reports have identified the deceased as Dennis Gichore. According to his family, Dennis had recently been assisted to start a bodaboda business in Dandora, with the hope that it would provide him with a stable and honest source of income.
His mother has reportedly said that the family invested in the business believing it would help him build a better future. However, relatives now claim that despite the opportunity, Dennis allegedly continued engaging in criminal activities instead of focusing on legitimate work. Reports indicate that on the day of the incident, Dennis and another man were riding on a motorcycle in the Utawala area when they allegedly attempted to snatch a mobile phone from a woman. According to witnesses, the woman screamed for help, attracting the attention of nearby residents.
