A cloud of sorrow has engulfed family members, friends and the wider community following the tragic death of Caroline Jepkirui, a young woman who reportedly lost her life in a road accident near Uzuri Supermarket in Eldoret Central Business District (CBD).
Caroline was reportedly on her way to The Eldoret National Polytechnic to sit for her examinations when tragedy struck, cutting short her life and leaving those who knew her devastated.
According to reports, the motorcycle on which she was travelling was hit by a speeding lorry near Uzuri Supermarket. The impact of the collision reportedly proved fatal for the young woman, turning what should have been an ordinary journey to an examination centre into a heartbreaking tragedy.
Caroline’s untimely death has sparked sadness, particularly because she was reportedly heading to sit her examinations, an important moment in her academic journey. The incident also left the motorcycle rider injured. However, unlike Caroline, the rider reportedly sustained minor injuries and was later discharged from hospital.
