Ruthless man kills wife puts blood in 5 litres jan and body in bags

Residents of Kioo Village in Kuresoi North Sub-County have been left reeling in shock after the gruesome discovery of a woman’s dismembered body allegedly hidden inside her own home.

The victim, identified as Everlyn Nyarinda, is believed to have been killed by her husband, Samuel Nyarinda, 50, who is now the subject of an intense police manhunt.

The chilling ordeal came to light on Saturday morning when the suspect reportedly called the couple’s daughter, claiming that her mother had disappeared from home after allegedly leaving with a mattress and blanket.

Concerned by the unusual explanation, family members launched a search for Everlyn, making repeated phone calls that went unanswered. As hours passed without any trace of her, suspicion began to grow.

Speaking to Chamgei FM, the deceased’s sister, Elizabeth Nyanchera, said the family decided to confront Samuel at his home to seek answers.

“We searched everywhere and tried calling her, but there was no response. When we went to ask him what had happened, he became defensive and even started threatening us,” Nyanchera recalled.

Determined to uncover the truth, relatives forced their way into the bedroom. What they found inside left them horrified.

According to the family, Everlyn’s body had been dismembered and packed into five cement bags concealed inside the house.

Police reports indicate that investigators also recovered a five-litre yellow plastic container allegedly containing the victim’s blood.

At the scene, detectives recovered a blood-stained axe believed to have been used in the killing. The weapon and other items were collected as evidence as forensic investigations commenced.

Area Assistant Chief Daniel Korir revealed that the couple had a history of domestic disputes and had previously sought intervention from authorities. Their troubled relationship had reportedly forced them to live separately within the same compound, with Everlyn staying in a kitchen structure while her husband occupied the main house about 100 metres away.

Kuresoi North OCPD John Mutai confirmed the incident and said police have launched a full-scale operation to track down the suspect, who disappeared before officers arrived.

As investigators piece together the circumstances surrounding the killing, grief, fear and disbelief continue to grip the community, with residents struggling to come to terms with one of the most disturbing crimes the area has witnessed in recent years.
