What started as an ordinary Thursday morning for a young nurse from Vihiga County has turned into one of the most talked-about incidents on social media after videos of his dramatic confrontation went viral.

The man in the viral clips has now been identified as Vincent Manoah, a nurse who says he was on his way to sit for an examination at Kenyatta University when his day took an unexpected and shocking turn.
Speaking about the incident, Vincent explained that he had spent the previous night at an Airbnb in Nairobi and woke up early to travel to the university for his exam. As he walked through South B, he says several women called out to him. Since he was running against time and determined not to miss his examination, he ignored them and continued on his way.
According to Vincent, his decision to walk away appeared to anger the women. He claims they immediately began hurling insults at him before suddenly screaming, “Mwizi! Mwizi!” attracting the attention of passers-by.
Within moments, the women caught up with him and allegedly demanded money, accusing him of spending the night with one of them. Vincent insists the claims were completely false, saying he had never met or spoken to any of the women before that morning.

As the confrontation intensified, Vincent says one of the women allegedly snatched his bag, which contained his laptop, and disappeared, while the others continued surrounding and accusing him in full view of members of the public.
Despite the tense situation, Vincent says he chose not to fight back. He explained that he remained calm because he understood how quickly such confrontations could be misinterpreted, especially when they involve women.
His restraint may have saved him from even greater trouble.
Luckily, police officers who were on patrol responded swiftly after noticing the commotion. The officers intervened before the situation escalated further and escorted those involved to South B Police Station.
According to Vincent, two of the women were arrested and remain in police custody pending their appearance in court.
He further revealed that while at the police station, the two women reportedly apologized and admitted that they had never been in any relationship with him. They also allegedly acknowledged that the accusations they made against him were false.
The incident has sparked heated debate online, with many Kenyans expressing concern over false accusations and the dangers they pose to innocent people. Others have praised Vincent for remaining calm during the ordeal, saying his composure may have prevented a tragic outcome.
Now, as the legal process begins, one question continues to divide opinion on social media:
If you were in Vincent Manoah’s position, would you accept the women’s apology and forgive them, or should the law take its full course?
