A 37-year-old single mother from Mwiki, Kasarani, Nairobi, is making an emotional appeal for a second chance at love after years of dedicating herself to raising her three children.

Mary Ndungu is a mother of three — two boys and one girl — aged 18, 15 and 13. She says that raising her children has been her greatest responsibility and one of the most important journeys of her life. Now, as her children grow older and become increasingly independent, Mary feels ready to open another chapter of her own life.
For years, her attention has largely been focused on motherhood. Like many single mothers, she has had to balance the responsibilities of providing for her children, guiding them through life and ensuring they have the opportunity to build a better future.
But behind the strength of a mother is also a woman who longs for companionship.
Mary says she is now hoping to meet a mature man who is ready for a genuine relationship and, if everything works out, marriage. She is particularly interested in a man aged 40 to 45 years and above.
Her appeal is simple: she is not looking for jokes or people who want to waste her time. She wants someone serious, respectful and emotionally mature — a man who understands that love is not only about romance but also about friendship, commitment, honesty and building a life together.
“I’m 37 years old and a mother of three. I am looking for a husband, preferably someone between 40 and 45 years or older. Please, no jokers,” Mary says in her heartfelt appeal.
Her story is a reminder that becoming a parent does not mean giving up on personal dreams or the desire to be loved. Single mothers often dedicate years of their lives to their children, sometimes putting their own happiness and relationships on hold.

For Mary, that season may now be changing.
With her children aged 18, 15 and 13, she believes she is ready to give love another chance. She hopes to meet someone who will appreciate her not only as a mother but also as a woman with dreams, emotions and a desire for companionship.
She is also clear about what she does not want: unserious relationships, games or people who approach her without genuine intentions.
Her message is therefore directed at men who are mature enough to understand the responsibilities that come with a relationship involving a mother of three.
Mary’s journey may resonate with many single parents who have spent years putting their families first while quietly hoping that one day they, too, will find someone to walk beside them.
At 37, Mary believes it is never too late to seek happiness.
She has raised her children, faced the challenges of single motherhood and remained hopeful. Now, she is simply asking for an opportunity to meet a man who is ready to love her, respect her and build a meaningful future together.
Perhaps somewhere in Nairobi — or beyond — there is a man who has been waiting for exactly the kind of woman Mary hopes to become a partner with.
For now, her message remains simple and direct: she is ready for love, but this time, she wants something serious.
