Student on attachment falls from 22nd floor,In her bag investigator found this

Fresh details have emerged in the mysterious death of 21-year-old attachment student Margaret Wambui, whose fatal fall from a 22-storey building in Nairobi’s Upper Hill on the night of Saturday, July 18, has left investigators and her family searching for answers.

What was initially reported as a tragic incident has now taken an even more puzzling turn after investigators reportedly discovered unexpected items inside the young woman’s bag, raising fresh questions about her final moments.

According to available information, Wambui, who was undertaking her industrial attachment at a hotel in the Upper Hill area, left her home at around 7:00 p.m., informing her family that she was heading to work as usual.

However, investigators are yet to establish whether she actually arrived at her workplace or whether she went somewhere else before the incident occurred. Her exact movements between the time she left home and the moment she fell remain unclear.

Sources familiar with the investigation say that at approximately 10:00 p.m., Wambui was seen entering a nearby 22-storey building. Reports indicate she had allegedly gone inside to take photographs and remained there only briefly.

Moments later, a security guard stationed nearby reportedly heard a loud bang that sounded like someone had fallen. The alarming sound prompted an immediate response, leading to the discovery of the young woman’s body.

As detectives examined the scene, attention shifted to Wambui’s belongings. According to sources, her bag contained a mobile phone along with items believed to be part of her hotel work uniform.

The discovery has added another layer of mystery to the case. Investigators are now trying to determine whether the phone found inside the bag was the one Wambui had been using throughout the evening, or whether she had another device with her before the incident.

The unanswered questions surrounding the phone have fueled speculation about what may have happened in the hours leading up to her death.

Her family has also revealed a disturbing development that has intensified their fears. They claim to have received a distressing phone call allegedly linked to Wambui, during which the caller reportedly said that she was not answering her calls because her phone was in someone else’s possession.

According to the family, the caller then instructed them to travel to Kilimani and contact officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The contents of that call are now expected to form a key part of the ongoing investigation as detectives work to piece together Wambui’s final movements and establish exactly what transpired before the fatal fall.

As investigations continue, her grieving family is hoping that forensic evidence, witness accounts, and CCTV footage, if available, will help uncover the truth behind the mysterious circumstances surrounding the 21-year-old’s death and finally provide the answers they have been desperately seeking.
