A cloud of grief has engulfed Kayole after the tragic death of three-year-old Tinslay Wamuyu, whose disappearance sparked a frantic community search before ending in heartbreak.
The smiling little girl, whose photo has now emerged and spread widely across social media, vanished on the evening of Saturday, June 13, while playing with other children near her family’s home. What began as an ordinary weekend evening quickly turned into every parent’s worst nightmare.
According to her devastated family, Tinslay had joined her friends for their usual playtime outside the house at around 6:15 p.m. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until her mother stepped outside later to call her back home.
To her shock, the little girl was nowhere to be seen.
Fighting back tears while recounting the painful moments, Tinslay’s mother said she immediately asked the other children where her daughter had gone. The children reportedly told her that Tinslay had gone to visit a nearby friend.
Believing she would return shortly, the family initially remained hopeful. However, as the hours passed and darkness settled over the estate, worry turned into panic.
A desperate search operation was launched almost immediately. Relatives, friends, and concerned neighbors joined hands, combing through buildings, staircases, rooftops, corridors, and every possible hiding place where the child might have wandered.
Throughout the night, residents called out her name and searched tirelessly, refusing to give up hope. But despite their efforts, there was no sign of the missing girl.
By midnight, exhaustion forced the search party to pause until morning, clinging to the hope that Tinslay would be found safe and alive.
Sadly, that hope was shattered on Sunday morning.
In a discovery that left the entire neighborhood stunned, a resident reportedly accessed the rooftop of a nearby building and found the lifeless body of the young girl.
The heartbreaking news spread quickly, plunging the community into mourning and raising painful questions about how such a tragedy could occur so close to home.
Distraught family members broke down at the scene as residents gathered in disbelief, struggling to comprehend the loss of a child described by neighbors as cheerful, playful, and full of life.
