ZUBEIDA KANANU KOOME BIOGRAPHY
Zubeida Koome KTN anchor full name is Zubeida Kananu. The future Kenyan star was born and raised in Meru County.
Zubeidah Koome admitted that she was very afraid to leave her hometown Meru and moving to Nairobi. She heard different scary stories about crime, rape and all things peer pressure and was really scared to change her life.
“I held onto my friend’s hand all the way. I spent my first days in Nairobi in a Hostel in Ngara. I was the typical village girl who stayed in the hostel for fear of being robbed or raped.”
Even after moving to Nairobi, Zubeidah was still so afraid, that the only places she knew was the Kenya National Archives and Afya centre. She shared a story about about how she was once lost in Nairobi: “One evening on my way from the School of Professional studies in Parklands, I got lost and found myself near the big smelly bridge in Eastleigh. I had to ask the people around for directions back to Ngara.”

Zubeidah Koome KTN has become a member of Standard Group in January 2007. Zubeida Koome also used to be an intern for 3 months and after her internship, she managed to sign a contract with Media House for one year. In 2009 became a reporter on a permanent basis. Because of her exquisite talent and diligence Zubeida Koome was promoted to a senior reporter.
In 2012 the ambitious young anchor was promoted to a political news anchor at KTN LEO. In one of her interviews, the celebrity anchor told a bit about the beginning of her career in Nairobi.
“I first came to Nairobi from Meru in 2002. A friend picked me up at the bus stop near Tea Room.”

KTN TV presenter and reporter Zubeidah Koome has welcomed a baby boy, on lovers day- Valentine’s.
In a post, Zubeida announced the news expressing her joy: “The best God given Valentine’s Day gift from heaven.”
She welcomed her bouncing baby boy in early morning of Valentine’s Day.
The KTN news presenter posted pictures of her new born whom she said had made her Valentine’s special.
