In this article we’re going to look at how to exfoliate hands using sugar and oil
Hands are the most overworked parts of the body for majority of the people especially housewives and manual workers. They end up becoming rough at the end of the day.
How sugar hand scrub works
A sugar hand scrub works by physically and manually exfoliating the skin. There are two ways in which it works; Chemical and Physical means.
Chemical exfoliators contain ingredients like glycolic acid, lactic and salicylic acid to clear out pores and give a smoother complexion.
Physical exfoliators like sugar scrubs are made from tiny granules that do heavy lifting, buffing away dead skin and encouraging cell turnover without leaving your skin raw or red.
Pour sugar and olive oil to the palm of your hands.
Rub together until almost all the sugar granules dissolve for at least 5 minutes.
Pour on a little liquid soap and wash clean with warm water. Your hands will feel very smooth.
How often should you exfoliate?
The exfoliation is done depending on the skin type as follows;
One to two times in a week for sensitive skin.
Two to three times in a week for normal skin.
Three to four times in a week for oily skin.
