Mike Mbuvi Sonko Like all other famous personalities around the globe has a unique story behind him. He has put his hands on almost everything under the sun and tasted different worlds of good and bad. In all these adventures, Nairobi City County Governor Mike Sonko still emerged out like pure gold in terms of success.
Mike Mbuvi Sonko was born in Mombasa in 1975. His father, Mzee Kivanguli was Kamba from Mua Hills Machakos County. He attended Kikowani Primary School before proceeding to Kwale High School.
Sonko ventured into politics in 2010 in what you could say ‘from nowhere’ and just within 9 years, he had managed to warm his way into Kenyan hearts to become a political enigma and a household name.
At just 35 years old, Sonko defeated political heavyweight Reuben Ndolo in a by-election to clinch the Makadara Parliamentary seat in September, 2010. He later went on to become Nairobi senator and Governor respectively.
Despite being bus handling politics most of his time, Mike Sonko ensures that he stays close to his family as a loving husband and a caring father. He has had three wives though the first two died. The current mike sonko wife name is Primrose Mbuvi with whom he has three children.
Sonko’s education had been the subject of discussion among Jubilee brokers. This is the same issue that was to lock him out of the Jubilee nominations in 2017 to clear way for party ticket to be given to Peter Kenneth.
Sonko sat for his KCSE in 1992 from Kwale high school.Speaking to his supporters, he admitted that it was a hard nut for many to crack. According to him when the results were released there was a mass failure of the candidates who sat for KCSE that year.

He lashed at those saying that he is not learned. He further said that the examination council is in Nairobi where those who are doubting him can go and confirm his academic qualifications.
One of the notable results which caused stir online is an E in mathematics. He however says you cannot defeat him when it comes to counting money.
After high school, he proceeded to Unity College of Professional Studies where he pursued a diploma in Sales and Market. He later joined Kenya Methodist University for a degree in Business Administration.
