WHAT HASSAN JOHO SCORED IN KCSE PER SUBJECT. FROM FAILURE TO UNIVERSITY DEGREE.

Politically, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is a man on the rise. A self-made man, Joho began his political career as Kisauni Member of Parliament and went on to become an assistant Minister. He is the man to beat in ODM top seat come 2022.

On 4 March 2013, during the general election, Joho was elected as the first governor of Mombasa County , the position he holds currently

The popular mombasa governor is without a doubt one of the wealthiest politicians in the country. Despite being linked extensively to the illegal trade in the country, Joho has had an illustrious career as a businessman. He is the founder and pioneer of Prima Pest and Bins Limited, the first garbage collection company in Mombasa.

Hassan Joho sat the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) at Tom Mboya Primary School in 1988 and schooled at home for one year before joining Serani Secondary School in 1990 where he sat for KCSE and scored D-.

Joho enrolled for a pre-university course at Kampala University that allowed him to take a certificate course after attaining a mean grade of D- (minus) in the KCSE of 1993.

The examination agency has in the past reckoned that a certificate claiming that Mr Joho attained a C+ in 1992 was fake amid claims that the Mombasa governor gained entry at the University of Nairobi and Kampala International University using 1992 results.

In the 2008, Joho pursued a certificate course in business administration which he successfully obtained, paving the way for him to enroll for a diploma course in human resource management in the same university in 2009.

Later on, Mr Joho graduated in December 2016 with a degree in Commerce from Gretsa University

Joho has come out publicly declaring that he scored a D minus in his KCSE exams and that he shouldn’t be ridiculed but celebrated for it on account of all he had to overcome, to attain it.

The governor allegedly sat his finals at Serani Secondary School in 1993 and scored a mean grade of D Minus. Out of the listed 8 subjects, Joho scored 4 Ds and 4 Es.

Mr Joho has been battling claims on the authenticity of his academic qualifications with several court cases being brought against him since his election as the Governor of Mombasa County.
