Today is my last day on earth. Last moments of UON student before death

The death of a young University of Nairobi student has sparked sadness and widespread discussion on social media, with heartbreaking accounts emerging about what he allegedly told his friends shortly before his final moments.

Wilson Ombacho, a 22-year-old fourth-year student at the University of Nairobi, reportedly spent some of his final hours in the company of friends, unaware that their seemingly ordinary gathering would later be remembered with so much sorrow.

According to a report by The Standard Digital, Wilson had been spending time with his friends before the tragic incident. During their gathering, they reportedly bought food and drinks and shared a meal as they enjoyed each other’s company.

However, what initially appeared to be an ordinary moment among young friends has taken on a disturbing meaning following claims about some of the things Wilson allegedly said that day.

According to accounts attributed to people who knew him, Wilson repeatedly made statements suggesting that he believed his time on earth was coming to an end.

His friends reportedly recalled that he kept telling them that it was his last day alive. In what has since become one of the most heartbreaking details surrounding the incident, he allegedly encouraged his friends to eat and drink at his expense, insisting that they should enjoy themselves because he believed he would not be around much longer.

Although it remains unclear whether his remarks were serious, a joke or an indication that he knew something others did not, the alleged statements have left many people wondering what could have been going through his mind during those final moments.

Meanwhile, the circumstances surrounding the incident have continued to attract public attention, with questions being raised about the identity and possible motives of the individual involved.

Police are yet to conclusively establish whether the suspect was linked to terrorism or whether the incident was motivated by other factors. Investigations are expected to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the case.

Interestingly, photographs of the individual believed to be connected to the incident have also circulated widely on social media, attracting attention beyond Kenya.

Several bloggers in Tanzania have reportedly shared the images on their social media platforms, while some users have taken the unusual step of creating memes using the photographs. The development has sparked mixed reactions, with some people expressing curiosity while others have criticised the tendency to turn serious incidents into online entertainment.

Details circulating on various social media platforms identify the individual as Hamza Hassan Mohammed, reportedly born on November 17, 1991. If the circulated birth details are accurate, he would have been approaching his 36th birthday.

However, the identity and personal details being shared online have not necessarily been independently verified, and the public has been urged to avoid treating unconfirmed social media claims as established facts.

As more information emerges, the incident remains a painful reminder of how quickly life can change. For Wilson’s friends and family, the memories of their last moments together will undoubtedly be difficult to forget.

What makes the story particularly heartbreaking is the claim that he spent his final hours buying food and drinks for his friends while repeatedly suggesting that he would not live to see another day.
