THE TROUBLED LIFE OF MAN WHO WHIPPED RAILA IN KWALE

Lengo Karisa Mudzomba hit the headlines in 2014 after he whipped former prime minister together with then Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya. The guests were enjoying dancing during an Okoa Kenya rally at Kinango groundi when the visibly angry moved close to the two leaders before whipping them.

After receiving the strokes , the leaders, who received a stroke each on their backs, stood in bewilderment as security officers restrained the angry man and whisked him away before more damage could be done

Mudzomba was later arrested but released later medical check ups showed that he was mentally ill.

Eyewitnesses said the Mudzomba was unhappy because his wife was dancing ‘suggestively’.

FAILED PROMISE FROM HAKI AFRICA

After he was released, Lengo Mudzomba claims he said the human rights organization did not honor its promise to pay medical expenses for removal of a tumor in his left armpit.

He then urgently called for medical help because the tumor was growing big and causing him problems.

His allegations were however dismissed by Haki Africa saying thy never promised his anything apart from taking care of him to make sure he is mentally fit.

TROUBLED LIFE MUDZOMBA

Despite asking for forgiveness from the two leaders later on , he has not had any piece since then.

Due to death threats he was forced to flee his home and sought refuge in his brother residence until now. His life was never the same fearing retaliation from Raila supporters even after running away. He as result been living in fear for past 6 years.

He maintains he has never take hard Drugs nor was he paid to whip the two leaders.

Mudzomba now wants the two leaders to extend handshake to him as sign of acceptance to his forgiveness request. while speaking to media years after incident, he said he is remorseful to the events unfolding on that day.

Since the handshake, both President Kenyatta and Mr Odinga have changed their conduct in public. Mr Odinga, a man defined by his abrasive brand of politics, no longer criticizes the government.
