THE PROMISE SYNOPSIS AND REVIEW
Two lovers’ ultimate promise of love to each will face its final test as the iconic teleserye “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” led by Asia’s emerging love team, Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, draws to a close next week.
Culminating on February 12, the retelling of the classic Filipino love story has garnered praises and successes since it started airing in May 2015.
The story revolves around the promise made to each other by a cook named Amor (Jodi Sta. Maria) and a young man who grew up in a wealthy family named Eduardo (Ian Veneracion). Because of his family’s protest against their relationship, Eduardo is forced to leave the woman he loves the most and marry the woman his mother has chosen for him Claudia (Angelica Panganiban). After many years, fate and love will test Eduardo and Claudia’ son Angelo (Daniel Padilla) as he faces the same fate as his father when he meets and falls in love with a simple young woman named Yna (Kathryn Bernardo). How will a vow change the lives of Eduardo, Amor, Claudia, Angelo, and Yna? Will their heart fall out of love because of each other’s broken promises?
the synopsis and review revolves around lovers Yna Macaspac and Angelo Buenavista. Unbeknownst to them, their love story started 20 years earlier between Amor de Jesus and Eduardo Buenavista. Unfortunately, Amor and Eduardo’s love will be destroyed because of greed, ambition, and lies. Amor returns to the Philippines as Amor Powers and vows revenge on the Buenavista family which will hurt her biological daughter, Yna, in the process. Meanwhile, Madam Claudia, Angelo’s mother, will do anything to destroy Yna and Angelo’s relationship and make Yna’s life a nightmare.
