It is no secret that the Jubilee party has continued to face major challenges despite the top brass claiming that the party is not on its deathbed. Several leaders have ditched the party with the latest being House speaker Justin Muturi who is also eyeing the country’s top seat in the next general election
Muturi who was elected speaker on a Jubilee party is now headed to the Democratic Party after his efforts to begin his outfit faced major opposition from top government officials who remain anonymous after claim he is Deputy President’s project. This latest move now leaving the Jubilee party a shell of its former being.
The Democratic Party of Kenya is expected to name National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi as its party leader.
The Party of National Unity (PNU), Democratic Party of Kenya (DP), and Safina a month ago formed a coalition partnership in preparation for the 2022 general elections.
The leaders met at a Nairobi hotel and vowed to work towards economic reforms which once thrived under PNU leader and former president Mwai Kibaki.
