Mikhail Kalashnikov who was a Soviet and Russian litenuent general, inventor, military engineer,writer and small arms designer was the one who invented AK-47 rifle. Mikhail Kalashnikov was born in 1919 and he died in 2013. He died at an age of ninety four years.
Mikhail Kalashnikov created/invented the AK-47 rifle after fighting in world war two. The number “47” in the name stands for the year which he invented the machine. It was invented in 1947. “A” stands for “Avtomatt” automatic rifle and letter “K” stands for his name “Kalashnikov”.
Mikhail Kalashnikov invented the gun after he was involved in the fight of the world war two. Mikhail Kalashnikov is believed to have gone to church for the first time when he was aged 91 years. Before Mikhail Kalashnikov died he wrote a letter to the Russian Patriarch that one question was causing pain to this soul.
He wrote “I keep having the same unsolved question;if my rifle claimed people’s lives,then it can be that I Mikhail,a christian and an Orthodox believer was to blame for their deaths”. He said that the more he lived the more this question drilled itself to his mind causing more discomfort.
The machine is now used in the entire world. Mikhail Kalashnikov died in 2013 when he was aged 91. May he continue Resting in Peace.
