Cord leader Raila Odinga has advised President Uhuru Kenyatta to go easy on alcohol of he expects to resolve the ongoing doctors’ strikes that has paralyzed operations in public hospitals.
The doctors are agitating for a pay increase as agreed on the collective bargaining agreement that was signed between the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Union and the government in June 2013.
Raila, who was addressing Tharaka Nithi residents, said that it was high time Uhuru sobered up if he was to end the doctors strike.
The President, the Cord leader said, was busy drinking and sleeping as Kenyans continued dying.
“Watu wanakufa usiku na mchana, na jamaa wanakunywa pombe na kulala”
Kenyans are dying day and night as these guys continue drinking day and night.
He went on to admonish the DP Ruto for dishing out millions in harambees, money that could otherwise have otherwise been channeled to healthcare.
