Senator Sonko could carry the day in the ongoing Jubilee nominations for the Nairobi governor seat. The early lead has seen his rival Peter Kenneth dispute the voter tallying saying the elections were flawed .He claims voters were imported from Kajiado and Machakos counties to vote in Nairobi where they are not registered
In a statement to media houses and seen by trendinginkenya.com on Thursday April 27, the former presidential candidate cried foul saying there were blatant cases of multiple voting. “There were cases of outright bribery by some of the candidates outside the polling stations to alter the true voting outcome,” said Kenneth. He claims that presiding officers used a marker instead of indelible paint to identify those who had voted during the Wednesday April 27 poll and this easily facilitated multiple voting as the marker pen ink is easy to wash off.
