NEVER THROW AWAY BANANA PEELS, INSTEAD USE THEM TO DO THIS

When you buy a pineapple, you usually peel the outer skin and throw it away. What you don’t know is that you can turn the peels into something healthy you can drink. It might seem strange but West Africans and Jamaicans have been doing this for quite a while. Follow the procedure below to make yours.

Part of the reasoning for this is that the pineapple has a thick skin that is mostly discarded by consumers, so the argument goes that most of any pesticide residue will be thrown away with the skin. So that’s good news for pineapple lovers everywhere. However, it turns out that those skins have some pretty hearty nutrition in them. The skin is were most of the bromelain, a protein that helps in digestion and healing, is located. That’s why many people who juice for nutritional intake don’t peel or remove the skin before they juice a pineapple.

You require the following ingredients: a pineapple, 2 lemons, honey, sugar, tumeric and tangerine.

Method.
a) Wash your pineapple and peel it. After peeling take your knife and remove the middle part of the pineapple(core).

b) Soak the peels and the pineapple’s core in vinegar for at least 3 minutes. Vinegar will kill germs and bacteria.

c) In a litre of water, boil the peels and core. Leave for 20 minutes. Place it in a cold place so that it can cool down.

d) After cooling, sieve the juice into a mug. Make sure that all the juice is squeezed from the peels.

e) Squeeze lemons and tangerine and ensure that you get at least 5 teaspoons. Add it to the acquired juice in (d).

f) Add honey, tumeric or sugar. This is optional.

You can serve this with food during lunch or dinner. This drink is refreshing and healthy too, try it.
