Emmanuel Macron was born on born 21 December 1977. He is a French politician who has been serving as the president of France and ex officio co-prince of Andorra since 14 May 2017.
Macron is married to Brigitte Trogneux, who is 24 years older than him, who was a teacher in his high school, La Providence High School in Amiens.
They met during a theatre workshop that she was giving when he was a 15-year-old student and she was a 39-year-old teacher, but they only became a couple once he was 18.
His parents initially attempted to separate the couple by sending him away to Paris to finish the final year of his schooling, as they felt his youth made this relationship inappropriate.However, the couple reunited after Macron graduated, and were married in 2007.
She has three children from a previous marriage, but Macron has no children of his own.Trogneux’s role in Macron’s 2017 presidential campaign has been considered pivotal, with close Macron allies stating that Trogneux assisted Macron with developing skills such as public speaking.
Brigitte and his first husband divorced in 2006, after it emerged that Brigitte had fallen for one of her former students, Emmanuel Macron, who is 25 years her junior. The two reportedly grew close in the 1990s at the after-school drama club run by Brigitte.
In 2018 Brigitte confirmed to Paris Match magazine that Macron vowed to marry her when he was just 17 years old.
In Fulda’s book, she is quoted as saying: “Nobody will ever know at what moment our story became a love story.
“That belongs to us. That is our secret.”
