Missile, a rocket-propelled weapon designed to deliver an explosive warhead with great accuracy at high speed.
Missiles vary from small tactical weapons that are effective out to only a few hundred feet to much larger strategic weapons that have ranges of several thousand miles.
32-year-old man in Hoima District, Uganda is asking the government to authorize him to test his locally made missile on Lake Albert’s waters.
This is one of the several times Anatoli Kiiza has requested government to test his locally made weapon despite being arrested seven times for the same move.
I have manufactured and upgraded a missile. I can also manufacture a rocket launcher,” he told a news conference in Hoima town
‘’ I want to ask the government to allow me to launch my missile which is called Sam missile that is going to go as far as 200km. So, I request all security agencies to allow me to utilize the showers of Lake Albert o.” Said Anatoli Kiiza.
Kiiza previously made attempts to fabricate a machine similar to a missile in June 2012 but Police arrested him while he was fabricating what he described as a sub missile in a workshop in Kiryatete suburb in Hoima municipality. After undergoing interrogation, Kiiza was released without being prosecuted in the courts of law.
Kiiza claimed to have researched on the internet how missiles are made in countries like USA,China and North Korea.
He claims that Uganda can save money which it spends on buying weapons if innovative people like him are supported to manufacture weapons
However security agencies have hinted he will not be allowed to do that
Fascinated by technology, Kiiza says he studied I.T though he didn’t finish his three-year course due to financial constraints.
