Kanze went to Kianjokoma now St. Mathews primary school. She later joined Kieni Secondary school. Finally, she went to Foundation college of Professional Studies where she did Journalism and mass communication.

Kanze is now happily married to a banana peddler and she believes that’s where her happiness lies. She believes that that’s where God want her to be.

After completing high school, she got a job as a waitress. After college, she got a few secretarial jobs before joining media. Her media career started when she enrolled as an intern at KBC. The KBC boss was impressed with her voice and recommended her to go for a voice test which she qualified. She was then given a job at KBC radio to read news bulletins at 4pm.
She later moved to Citizen TV as a ‘Nipashe’ anchor and a news director at royal media services

In a family of six, Kanze is the fourth born. She was raised by a single mother after her father left. When Kanze was 8 months pregnant, her mother got diagonised with cancer. After a year, her mother died. Her father later joined her but died in March, 2018.

KANZE DENA LIFE HISTORY
Kanze suffered from low self-esteem as she was growing up. In primary she realized that her legs were bow-shaped. In high school she noticed that her body was growing faster than her age mates’. The body changes caused psychological discomfort.
When she was a waitress, she got pregnant but was dumped by the boyfriend. She later gave birth to a beautiful baby girl who died three months after birth. After this tragedy, she contemplated to commit suicide due to depression. She later joined a Baptist church and started a new beginning. She again got pregnant and this time she miscarried the baby. After the miscarriage she started having problems with her boyfriend. Seven months after the miscarriage she got pregnant again. Matters got worse after her mother died 2 months after she gave birth. During this time, she attempted her second suicide. The second suicide was because she questioned herself on being a single mother. In 2013, she again attempted her third suicide while at Coast but failed.
Since then she got help and overcame the depression. The mother of one believed in God who gave her hope and strength. She lost her dad in March, 2018 but she is still strong.
