I will never date or marry a Kenyan Man. Here is why

Kenyan socialite Huddah Monroe has sparked fresh conversations online after explaining why she would not date or marry a Kenyan man, insisting that her romantic preferences should not be interpreted as hatred towards men from her home country.

The outspoken social media personality addressed the issue during a question-and-answer session on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, October 25, 2026, after a curious fan questioned her apparent reluctance to consider Kenyan men as romantic partners.

The fan directly challenged Huddah over what appeared to be a strong dislike of Kenyan men, asking why she seemed to have a problem with them.

“What did Kenyan Men do to you.? You seem to seriously hate them??” the fan asked.

However, Huddah dismissed the suggestion that her dating preferences were motivated by hatred, pointing to her family background as evidence that she had no reason to harbour hostility towards Kenyans.

“My dad is Somali My mom is Kenyan My brothers are Kenyan Why would I hate Kenyan men? I wouldn’t marry or date them doesn’t mean I hate them,” she responded.

Her answer drew a clear distinction between her personal romantic choices and her feelings towards people of a particular nationality.

Although she acknowledged her Kenyan family connections, Huddah maintained that she was not interested in dating or marrying Kenyan men.

The remarks have once again placed the socialite’s love life and outspoken views on relationships in the spotlight, particularly given her history of making candid statements about the kind of men she prefers.

Huddah Previously Ruled Out Kenyan Celebrities

The latest comments are not the first time Huddah has publicly expressed reservations about dating Kenyan men, particularly celebrities.

During another question-and-answer session on Instagram Stories on July 7, 2025, the socialite was asked a cheeky question about why no Kenyan celebrity had managed to father a child with her.

The fan wrote, “Scar once asked why KE celebs wameshindwa kumpa Huddah mimba. Any comment?”

Rather than shy away from the provocative question, Huddah responded by making her position on dating celebrities clear.

“I do not date celebs. Not Kenyan one, especially,” she stated.

Her response suggested that Kenyan celebrities were not among her preferred romantic partners, further fuelling curiosity about her dating standards and the kind of relationship she would consider pursuing.

Huddah has built a reputation for speaking openly about relationships, money, lifestyle and personal choices, often generating heated discussions among her followers.

Her latest remarks are likely to attract similar reactions, with some social media users viewing her position as a matter of personal preference while others may question her decision to exclude an entire category of potential partners.

Nevertheless, the socialite’s central argument remains that choosing not to date someone does not automatically mean disliking them.

Her Past Connection With Prezzo

Huddah’s comments about Kenyan men have also revived interest in her previously publicised connection with veteran Kenyan rapper Prezzo, whose real name is Jackson Ngechu Makini.

In August 2024, the socialite opened up about her rebellious teenage years, revealing that she had once run away from home and spent approximately two years on the streets of Nairobi.

During that period, she disclosed, she spent some months with Prezzo.

Reflecting on her adolescent experiences, Huddah described herself as a rebellious young woman who had lived a wild and unpredictable life.

“Adolescent life… Despite that, my rebellious ass—I was a wild child! I ran away from home for 2 years, galavanting Nairobi streets, some months with Prezzo,” she revealed.

Her account offered a glimpse into an earlier chapter of her life, long before she became widely recognised for her social media presence, business interests and glamorous lifestyle.

The revelation also renewed public interest in her past association with the rapper, although it does not establish the nature or duration of their relationship beyond what she disclosed.

Huddah Stands Firm on Her Personal Choices

Over the years, Huddah has cultivated a public image as a confident and outspoken personality who is rarely afraid to share controversial opinions.

Her latest remarks have once again demonstrated her willingness to address questions about her private life directly, even when the subject is likely to generate debate.

By pointing to her Kenyan mother and brothers, she challenged the suggestion that her reluctance to date Kenyan men amounted to hatred towards them.

Instead, she maintained that her romantic preferences were a personal decision that should be understood separately from her family background and national connections.

Whether her latest comments will attract criticism or support remains to be seen, but they have once again placed her relationship preferences at the centre of online discussions.

For now, Huddah appears determined to stand by her position, making it clear that being unwilling to date or marry Kenyan men does not, in her view, mean she hates them.
