Parental guidance in children’s life is very important and a lack of family support may ruin their lives

For Mariana, she has to face all phases of life. She was born and raised in Molo, Nakuru County. At the age of 8, her mother died, and was left with her older sister. Life become very hard since their father had neglected them before their mother died.

Mariana went to live with her aunt who mistreated her and went to live with her father. Her father who was in a drinking habit never took care of her instead she was introduced into the alcohol business.

‘’I decided to run and went to live with my sister in Nairobi, Unfortunately, she was unable to educate me after they divorced her husband,’’ she said

She later got educated by a well-wisher up to class eight and got married. Her first marriage never lasted due to a fight with her husband concerning their child’s health. She decided to relocate to Thika where she started a new life.

After some time Mariana got married to her second husband. She later learned he had another first wife after she was informed by a friend.

‘’l decided to follow him one day and found she had another wife with two children. I confronted the woman only to realize she was the first wife. I decided not to leave and slept on one bed with my cowife that night,’’ she said.

Later on, even after agreeing with cowife to stick to one man Mariana decided to part ways and take off her two children.
