US Green card lottery 2019 application procedure. The US Department of State has announced that the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program for the fiscal year 2019 (DV-2019), popularly known Green Card Lottery, will run from Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017 to Tuesday, November 7th, 2017.
The Green Card Lottery program makes 55,000 permanent resident visas available to nationals of countries with historically low number of immigrants in the United States. Kenya is among the countries whose nationals qualify to participate in the program but this might be you last chance.
To qualify for a Diversity Visa (Green Card lottery), an applicant must be a national of a qualifying country and also either completed high school education of have worked in a qualifying occupation for at least two years.

Applications are only accepted online at the Department of State website .
Winners of the DV-2019 lottery program will be eligible to migrate to the United States starting in January, 2019 as long as they pass the mandatory interview at the US embassy located in their home country.
HOW TO CHECK GREEN CARD LOTTERY 2019 RESULTS
After you submit a complete entry, you will see a confirmation screen containing your name and a unique confirmation number. Print this confirmation screen for your records.
Starting May 1, 2018, you will be able to check the status of your green card lottery entry by returning to dvlottery.state.gov, clicking on Entrant Status Check, and entering your unique confirmation number and personal information. You must use Entrant Status Check to check if you have been selected for DV-2019 and if selected, to check your immigrant visa interview appointment date.
The U.S. government will not inform you directly. Entrant Status Check is the sole source for instructions on how to proceed with your application
