Nursing is one of the best courses you can take because it is very marketable.This is one of the best courses that can help you serve the community by mantaining a healthy society. If you didn’t qualify to take a degree in nursing in the university, it doesn’t mean that your dreams are dead.

You can still take this course as a diploma or certificate in Kenya Medical Training Centres.There are about 71 centres located in all parts of the country.Here are the requirements for different courses in nursing.
1 Certificate in Community Health.
This course takes 2 years, you just need to apply in any campus. To apply, you need a KCSE Mean grade of C-, C- in Kiswahili or English & Biology or Biological Sciences. D+ in any one of the following: Chemistry or Physical Science or Physics or Mathematics.
2.Diploma in Community Health.
This course takes three years from any selected campus. To enroll, you need a KCSE minimum aggregate C with the following specific requirements: C in English or Kiswahili and Biology or Biological Sciences. C- in Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics / Physical Sciences. You can as well upgrade from a certificate course to a diploma.

3.Higher diploma in the following courses;
Critical Care Nursing, it take only 1 year and available Nairobi, Thika, Machakos, Kilifi campus.
Peri-operative Nursing, takes 1 year and available Nairobi and Mombasa campus
Family Health Nursing (Distance learning) takes 1year available in Nairobi, Gatundu, Thika, Nakuru and Nyeri campus.
Kenya Registered Nurse Anesthetist, takes 1 year only in Kisumu campus.
Geriatric Nursing, takes 1 ½ year (Distance learning) only in Nairobi campus.
