Ebru TV’s Doreen Gatwiri is arguably one of the fastest rising Kenyan TV personalities. Apart from reading news, the Swahili anchor and Tujadiliane presenter has a pretty interesting life out of the studio.
She was born and raised in Mombasa, went to High school in Meru for 4yrs before joining University in Nairobi.Doreen holds an LLB in Law from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a post graduate diploma in Advocate training the Kenya School of law

Doreen’s career in the media started late in 2015 pursuing a training in media across broadcast and digital media with her career picking up in 2016 when she started working for Kenyan broadcaster Ebru Tv in Nairobi. Doreen has been a Swahili news anchor of the 7pm bulletin MWANGA WA EBRU at Ebru Tv until November 1st , she has also hosted a current affair show dubbed TUJADILIANE that airs every week.

When news erupted on social media that TV girl Doreen Gatwiri had fled her palatial Karen home fearing for her life, Kenyans gasped.
“I took a taxi, went to Hardy Police (Station) to report the case, currently under investigation, then to the Avenue Healthcare and later to my friend’s place in Kileleshwa,” Gatwiri told The Nairobian.
