Comedian Njugush whose real name is Timothy Kimani Ndegwa is a famous Kenyan comedian, MC, influencer, and mentor who plays various roles in Real Househelps of Kawangware which aired on KTN.
He was born in Meru to a reverend and a business woman. Being a pilot was his first love, but in Form Three he realised it did not fit his abilities. Therefore, he chose to study Journalism. He confesses to bad eating and keeping promises.

Njugush on what he scored in high school: I was a B student, but I got a C+ in my KCSE examinations. By then, there was a lot of competition to get into university, and I couldn’t make it with that grade. I had always loved journalism, so I decided to try my luck in applying for the course. I went to Catholic University and was told I could be admitted with my grade. The problem however, was when I saw the fee structure. Njugush has had a passion for acting since he was young but since he knew that acting did not offer financial security he wanted to be a full time journalist and a part time actor. While he was at KIMC he hosted a reggae show on the school’s radio station, ECN.
He auditioned at the Kenya National Theatre just three days after clearing from high school, and that’s when life began. We did not have a drama club in my high school. Naaro High School in Kangaru. That was when he had thirst for drama, for four full years!
In 2013 Abel Mutua saw a play he had done in 2011 and he called him as he wanted to cast him in a show he was starting ‘Hapa Kule’ which gained popularity on You Tube and it became a show
on its own.
Njugush is married to Celestine Ndinda and hi wedding ceremony took place at PCEA Evergreen in Runda, and the reception followed at the same venue. This was attended by leading actors and actresses in the country including Abel Mutua, Philip Karanja, Catherine Kamau, and Jacqueline Matubia. When Njugush girlfriend first met her husband-to-be, he was sleeping on a mat since he had no bed, but she insisted on staying with him. During one of the comedian wedding anniversaries, he described his wife as accommodative, loyal, and persevering.
Having stayed in the marri for close to over one year, Njugush comedian and his wife Celestine Ndinda were blessed with a bouncing baby boy early 2018. Since welcoming his baby into the world, Njugush has been protective of him, and he doesn’t even post his photos on the social media that frequently.
Njugush wife used to encourage him that though he was financially broke at that time, their being together for the rest of their lives where he could be able to pay back. This has come through since he can now give her a birthday she wishes to have including going to Dubai.

REPLY: My favourite childhood memory was preparing Githeri. Back in the day, it would be done for a full day because you would add firewood and water to the food but it still wouldn’t have cooked enough. The best thing about that, however, was that mum would let us play as long as the food was still cooking.
