News coming in are that the flying squad have surrounded Millie Odhiambo home after insulting the president yesterday in parliament. The outspoken MP called Uhuru derogatory words including ‘fisi’ (hyena) and ‘mwizi’ (thief) prompting varied reactions from Kenyans. He will be arraigned at CID offices to write statement before court decides to proceedings.
However according to legislators,Odhiambo was enjoying the parliamentary privilege which is the freedom of deliberation, speech, and debate accorded to legislators on the floor of the House or any such precinct under use by Members of Parliament and Senators.
As some bashed her for the very aggressive behaviour, she equally received support from a number of Kenyans who thought she was a bold woman.
The MP, however, cannot be arrested for disrespecting the presidency as she was spewing the words within the precincts of parliament.
