Details of KMTC student who died during romantic date

Shock and deep sorrow have engulfed residents and students across Uasin Gishu County after the sudden and mysterious death of a Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) trainee who collapsed while spending the night at a local guest house near the Mosombor trading centre. The circumstances surrounding her death have prompted a full police investigation, as questions continue to mount about what exactly transpired that night.

The deceased, identified as 25-year-old Sharon Nyongesa, had reportedly checked into the lodging facility in the company of an older man, Stanley Kipkemei. Sharon, who was on her medical attachment at a nearby health facility, was widely described by her colleagues as a dedicated, disciplined and promising young professional with a bright future in the medical field.

According to preliminary reports, the tragic incident unfolded in the early hours of the morning when Sharon suddenly became unresponsive inside their room. The man accompanying her is said to have panicked and raised alarm before rushing out to seek urgent assistance. Efforts to revive her proved futile, and she was quickly taken to a nearby clinic where medical personnel confirmed that she had already passed away.

Police have since opened an inquiry to determine the events that led to her untimely death. Her body was later transported to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary, where a postmortem examination is expected to shed more light on the possible cause of death.

News of the incident has sparked intense emotional reactions both within the college community and across social media platforms. Many who knew her, as well as members of the public, expressed disbelief and heartbreak, remembering Sharon as a vibrant and hardworking student whose life and dreams were abruptly cut short.
